Deepa Nair Rasiya

London-born singer and songwriter, Deepa Nair Rasiyahas been making waves on the World Music platform and is increasingly recognized as an innovative composer with a soul-stirring vocal style. Her South Indian heritage, combined with her exploration of and training in both Western musical and North Indian classical traditions, have shaped her into a unique musician straddling with ease a range of musical genres. Counted amongst some of the leading Indian vocal artistes in the U.K. today,  Deepa has also trained in Hindustani music from eminent vocalist Smt Veena Sahasrabuddhe of the Gwalior gharana.

She has had the rare  honour of recording her vocals with two legendary musical giants of our times: the late George Harrison of the Beatles and the late Pandit Ravishankar on their spiritual album ‘Chants of India’.
