Aditya Prakash Ensemble

The Aditya Prakash Ensemble is a bold and dynamic force in contemporary music, known for blending the traditions of South Indian Carnatic music with the improvisational spirit of jazz, and the raw energy of folk, rock, and classical styles.

Formed by vocalist and composer Aditya Prakash, the Ensemble grew out of collaborations among students in UCLA’s Ethnomusicology program, influenced by Prakash’s experience touring with Ravi Shankar. The group’s album Diaspora Kid, was featured in the Top 15 Albums on the Transglobal World Music Chart.
