Renowned sitar player Rabindra Goswami teaches the sitar at various institutes in Varanasi including at the Banaras Hindu University. He has a Master’s in Economics from BHU as well as a Master’s in Sitar from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad. He trained under dhrupad exponent Pt. Ramakant Misra, among other famous gurus. He is a 2014 Fellow of Yale University’s Institute of Sacred Music. He is a regular on All India Radio and is a Grade A Doordarshan artiste. He has performed across India and Europe in solo performances and in concerts and has also conducted several lecture demonstrations in leading colleges in the US including at Amherst and University of Wisconsin.
