Moorala Marwada is a Sufi folk singer from the Janana village of the Kutch District, Gujarat, India who belongs to a lineage of Meghwal singers. He sings the poetry of Kabir, Mirabai, Ravidas and others. Moorala sings in the Kaafi form of music that has evolved and been adopted by the Hindu singers of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai. He has also been featured on the Kabir Project.
The fourth edition of the Mahindra Kabira Festival, to be held between 16-18th November, will once more inspire an experience of intangible beauty and musical intensity.
